Grey Matters

Stupidity seems to be a factor in any job that requires working closely with the public. Being in the airline industry seems to only exaggerate it (I'm sure you can attest to this Ty).

I think it all begins during the check-in process. I have a feeling that people include their brains when deciding which baggage to check. People, people, this is not necessary. So long as your brain weighs less than 22lbs and fits into the sizing device you are more than welcome to bring it on board.

Nothing proves to me that you are running soley on brain stem more than when I sell sandwiches.

When I am pushing the sandwich cart through the aisle, the same cart that actually has sandwiches on top of it and I ask you if you would like to purchase a sandwich, "Diet Pepsi please" is not an appropriate response.

This means that you didn't listen to the announcement, you didn't look at the cart, you didn't see me hand sandwiches to anyone else and you didn't listen to what I asked you.

What if I replace "sandwiches" with "gas mask"?

"Would you like a gas mask to protect you from the cloud of toxic gases that is forming in the back galley?"

"Diet Pepsi please"

Good, that's what natural selection is all about my friend.

So please, please, please just use your brain while flying. You will no longer be the target of my laser beam death stare and you may even make your own life a bit easier.
